I need to update this more.

I’m horrible with figuring out how to develop stories. Oh lawd.

I wanted to practice settings and figuring out what the suroundings in the story would look like. I found this nifty blog where I found lots of photos! http://moscowdailyshot.blogspot.com/

(figure I’ll leave credit if I post any more photos by them)

These two are pretty major characters, and I enjoy doodling them haha.

Isaac Ivanov.
He doesn’t really wear clothes like this until later on in the plot.

HO&NB

So I came up with the concept for this story at the beginning of the year.

I’ve always wanted a story to express my opinions on religion. Eventually I came up with Ophelia and the rest sorta followed.

This story still has a LOT to be worked through with the plot, but I have a little thus far.

Ophelia is an orphan living in a city (of Russian influence) where an religious organization was able to obtain power over the original government. So pretty much they are the ruling power.

There is a book called the Neon Bible, which contains information of free thinking and democratic rule (I think…Still working on the contents). If publicly displayed, most of the people would stop supporting the organization. So the religious group tries to make sure the book is never uncovered. Of course the keeper of it is Ophelia, who one day wants the people to be freed and not be forced under religious thought.

Many people in the city are persecuted if they don’t follow the main religion, and Ophelia is sort of an eye witness to all of it.

She’s only 13 years old, and still has some growing up to do herself.

There’s a little more to it, but I’ll stop here for now!
